Oastwood Stud Terms & Conditions
Rother Valley Leisure Ltd (RVL) owners of Oastwood Stud & Number 87 accept bookings on the following conditions.
Hire Contract - The contract is for the hire of the property for holiday purposes only and is between you the Hirer and RVL, Owner of Oastwood Stud & Number 87. The contract is governed by English Law. Bookings from Hirers under the age of 18 years are not accepted. Once RVL has confirmed your booking the Hirer is responsible for the total agreed price of the property. Arrival is after 3pm and departure by 10am unless otherwise agreed.
Payment - RVL require a deposit payment of one third of the total holiday cost and a completed booking form in order to confirm the booking. If the booking is made within six weeks of the holiday start date, full payment will be required at the time of booking. Payment can be made by cheque or Bank Transfer. The balance payment is due six weeks before the holiday start date. Once this is received we will send directions to the property and access arrangements. RVL reserves the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received less than 28 days before the holiday start date. The deposit paid on the booking is non-refundable. Cheques should be made payable to Rother Valley Leisure Ltd. BACs payments can be made direct, please request bank details.
Party Members - Only individuals listed on the booking may occupy the premises. The lead name on the booking must be over 18 years of age and agrees that he or she is authorised to agree to the Booking Conditions on behalf of all members of the party, including any changes. RVL reserves the right to refuse or revoke any bookings from parties that may in their opinion (and at their sole discretion) be unsuitable for the property concerned.
Description - RVL makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the property description. Further, RVL cannot accept liability for happenings outside our reasonable control, such as breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing, wiring, temporary invasion of pests, damage resulting from exceptional weather conditions.
Availability - The Hiring Contract is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as published will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available then RVL may need to cancel the booking. The Hirer will be advised as early as possible and will be entitled to a refund of all monies due. The Hirer will not as a result have any further claims against RVL. Bookings are not confirmed until we have received your booking form and payment.
Hirer Responsibilities - You will be responsible for the property and to take reasonable care of it. Should there be any specific health or mobility difficulties which may affect a party member; this must be pointed out at the initial reservation stage so that the suitability of the property can be assessed. The use of the accommodation and amenities is entirely at the users’ risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, or loss or damage to users’ or visitors’ belongings. The property and all equipment and utensils must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.
Pets – Are accepted at Oastwood Stud only. We will accept two dogs of which the breed must be described at the time of booking. RVL reserves the right to refuse certain breeds. Pets should not be left alone unsupervised at the property. Please ensure you clean up after your dog/s both inside and outside. Please be aware that an enclosed garden does not necessarily mean a secure garden. The garden is enclosed by hedging or open style fencing. The Hirer should be aware there are livestock in adjacent fields and must be in full control of their dog/s.
Damage - All damages and breakages are the legal responsibility of the Hirer, and should be notified to RVL before the end of your holiday. Normally, minor damage or breakages will not be charged but in circumstances where extra cleaning is required or there has been breakage or damage beyond what is reasonably to be expected, costs will be payable on demand. RVL reserve the right to charge you for any additional costs incurred. Should you find on arrival any damaged or items not working, they must be reported to RVL immediately.
Access to the property - RVL has the right to enter the property (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if a situation/emergency occurs (e.g. if repairs need to be carried out). RVL reserves the right to repossess the property at any time, where you or any member of your party has caused damage. RVL shall not be liable to make a refund of any remaining portion of the hire terms paid.
Cancellation - You are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance. If you need to cancel your holiday you must inform RVL as soon as possible. If the booking is cancelled within 6 weeks prior to the start date, the deposit is non-refundable. If the booking is cancelled after the balance has been paid, the property will be re-advertised and the balance refunded if another booking replaces the cancelled booking minus an administration charge of £25.
Complaints - If you are dissatisfied with the service you receive, RVL must be notified immediately so that we can investigate and take any necessary action. No compensation can be made for any complaints that are made after the hire has ended, or where the Hirer has not allowed the Owners the opportunity to try to put matters right during the Hirer´s stay.
